Your challenges
The optimization and reduction of the environmental footprint of your products and services is becoming an increasingly prominent constraint to meet the requirements of your clients and regulatory standards in line with your CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) policy.
In addition to each actor's contribution to global and national goals for greenhouse gas reduction, eco-design is becoming a major lever for product optimization, differentiation, and a growing constraint for developing your activities.
This new constraint opens up opportunities for the evolution of your products and services, as well as your organizations, professions, and tools.
Highlights
- Alignment with Regulatory/CSR/Customer Requirements
- Competitive Differentiation
- Quantification and Localization of Your Products' Impact
- Product Improvement and Reduction of Their Impact
- Transformation of Engineering
- Practices Skills Enhancement
Our solutions
Addressing this major challenge for our industries requires approaching various areas of work for which Sogeclair provides pragmatic solutions supported by our sector-specific and functional expertise.
Comprehensive or Simplified Life Cycle Assessment
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) enables quantification of environmental impact throughout the entire life cycle using specialized software (such as SimaPro, GaBI, etc.). We quantify and pinpoint major contributors to the impact across the life cycle using various environmental indicators.
To optimize and expedite this evaluation, we have developed simplified LCA methods and tools to address the need for a balance between evaluation duration, required expertise, and identification of improvement areas.
Products Improvement
Improving the environmental impact of products is based on the results of the assessment (comprehensive or simplified LCA) and aims to adapt the architecture, technologies, and detailed design of the products to reduce their impact throughout their life cycle.
Using comprehensive databases, structured recommendations, and an eco-design tool, our approach aims to optimize products holistically based on environmental and non-environmental criteria (costs, production time, ramp-up, functional performance).
Adapting Engineering Professions
The integration of environmental impact assessment and eco-design within engineering professions leads to the adaptation and development of new processes, methods, tools, and skills.
A change management component is also necessary to achieve ownership of the issues and create a conducive environment for its deployment. Through dedicated and pragmatic support, based on our deep understanding of these professions, we assist engineering organizations in evolving their practices, tools, and structure in line with ISO 14001.
Training
Our training portfolio consists of several levels and modules to address the awareness needs of a broad audience, as well as to enhance the skills of engineering teams to independently apply life cycle assessment and eco-design methods and tools.
We also provide support for training on the dedicated tools and methods of each company through our specialized industry experts.
